You're a major league baseball player, you make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, little kids are constantly asking for your autograph...but that doesn't mean your friends aren't gonna screw with you. Kyle Kendrick, pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies found that out last week when several of his teammates AND his manager AND EVEN his agent pulled an early April Fool's prank (damn, ain't your agent at least supposed to have your back??) Only thing worse than being punk'd by your buddies? Being punk'd by your buddies when someone gets the whole thing on tape. And the only thing worse than that is when a million people see the video.

On Viral Video Blog we try to stay out of politics, but when a video gets this viral it simply can't be ignored, political or not. Here's the short story: after losing the New Hampshire primary, Barack Obama made a speech promising that his campaign was not over and that even though some doubters said his campaign couldn't make change, his response was "yes we can". The speech itself was a little viral, garnering over 200,000 views in the next week. But more importantly, that speech was seen by one of the most popular songwriters in America - will.i.am, the lead singer for the Black Eyed Peas - and it inspired him to enlist some celebrity friends and turn the Obama speech into something a little different...
Oh, and if you're wondering if this isn't just some clever marketing attempt to create a "vaccine video" (one that's pushed on people instead of spreading on its own) consider this: not only did will.i.am not get paid to create it, he has never even spoken to the Obama campaign about it, before making it or since. In will's words, "They have more important things than to be contacting me to say thank you - if they had time to call me, I'd be panicking."
VVB grade: A- Viral? Exceptionally. It's posted in at least four major places with a total of over 6 million views...by far the most viral political video in history.
